Baker Hughes is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Advisor - Regional Operations in Australia. The role provides functional leadership to site HSE professionals, drives risk management, and partners with regional operations to strengthen safety culture.

The role focuses on implementing corporate HSE policies, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across regional sites, with travel within the region as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in regional or multi-site HSE leadership roles.
• Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, OSHA, and regional regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills; ability to influence across a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Provide functional leadership to site-based HSE professionals and coach staff.
• Escalate significant HSE issues and partner with Operations to integrate HSE into operations and planning.
• Advise leaders on HSE risk identification, mitigation, and safe work execution for construction, commissioning and maintenance.
• Ensure company HSE policies and ISO-aligned systems are implemented and regulatory requirements met.
• Lead or support incident investigations and drive corrective actions and regional performance improvements.
• Lead regional HSE initiatives and coordinate priorities across multiple sites and functions.
