Job summary

Byfields Business Advisers in regional WA is offering a Graduate Accountant Program designed to turn your accounting degree into real client work and professional growth.

You'll work with mentors, get hands-on exposure across tax, business services and accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, Agrimaster), and build client relationships while supporting regional communities from Northam, Narrogin, Wagin, Merredin or Esperance.

Qualifications

• Currently completing or recently completed an accounting university degree.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Curious, proactive and eager to develop professionally.
• Strong communicators who enjoy working with people.
• Organised, adaptable and detail oriented.
• Be based in or relocate to regional WA offices.

What You’ll Be Doing

From the beginning, you’ll be involved in real client work and supported by experienced accountants who are committed to your development.

You’ll Have The Opportunity To

• Work with a diverse range of businesses, primary producers and individuals across WA.
• Assist with taxation, business advisory and accounting services.
• Learn and work with industry-leading software including Xero, MYOB and Agrimaster.
• Develop strong technical and client relationship skills.
• Gain exposure to tax planning, special projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Build valuable connections with colleagues, mentors and clients.

This isn't a program where you'll spend your days filing paperwork or making coffee. You'll be part of the team, contributing to meaningful work while continuing to learn and develop!

However, To Be More Technical, You Must Have

• Currently completing or have recently completed an accounting university degree.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Suites (Not required, but advantageous).
• Excellent problem-solving skills (key skill!)
• Curious, proactive, and eager to develop professionally.
• Strong communicators who enjoy working with people.
• Organised, adaptable and detail oriented.
• Team players who are ready to contribute and grow.
• Be based in, or willing to relocate to one of our regional office locations (Northam, Narrogin, Wagin, Merredin or Esperance).
