Job summary

Byfields Belmont in WA offers a Graduate Accountant Program that launches your accounting career with hands-on client work and mentoring from senior accountants. You’ll gain exposure to tax, business services, and accounting systems, seeing how studies translate into real results.

You’ll receive training on Xero, MYOB and Agrimaster, structured learning, study leave support, and a clear pathway to long-term growth as part of a supportive, close-knit team.

Qualifications

• Currently completing or recently completed accounting degree.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office; exposure to accounting software a plus.
• Curious, proactive, eager to grow professionally.
• Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Work on real client assignments with guidance from experienced accountants.
• Assist with taxation, business advisory and accounting services.
• Develop technical and client relationship skills through hands-on involvement.
• Contribute to process improvements and projects as you learn.

What you'll be doing

From the beginning, you'll be involved in real client work and supported by experienced accountants who are committed to your development.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Work with a diverse range of businesses, primary producers and individuals across WA.
• Assist with taxation, business advisory and accounting services.
• Learn and work with industry-leading software including Xero, MYOB and Agrimaster.
• Develop strong technical and client relationship skills.
• Gain exposure to tax planning, special projects and business improvement initiatives.
• Build valuable connections with colleagues, mentors and clients.

This isn't a program where you'll spend your days filing paperwork or making coffee. You'll be part of the team, contributing to meaningful work while continuing to learn and develop!

About you

You don't need to know everything on day one. That's what we're here for.

However, to be more technical, you must have:

• Currently completing or have recently completed an accounting university degree.
• Previous experience with Microsoft Suites (Not required, but advantageous).
• Curious, proactive, and eager to develop professionally.
• Strong communicators who enjoy working with people.
• Organised, adaptable and detail oriented.
• Team players who are ready to contribute and grow.
