Job summary

JLG Industries seeks an experienced Regional Field Technician to service the Central Queensland area, performing servicing, repairs and breakdown support on elevated work platforms, lighting towers, telehandlers and related equipment.

You will plan your days autonomously with support from the Field Service Coordinator in the Brisbane Branch, travel as required including overnight stays, and ensure accurate documentation and maintenance records for customers across the region.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in elevating work platform technology or related heavy equipment.
• Experience on access plant or heavy equipment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Own basic tools.
• Attention to detail, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and repairing equipment such as EWP, lighting towers, telehandlers and small diesel engines.
• Travel including overnight accommodation when required.
• Complete paperwork and inspection forms per policy and standards in a timely manner.
• Conduct van audits and stock take.
• Visit existing and new customers in your region.
• Cold calling in your region.
• General admin and ad hoc duties as required.

You would be responsible for carrying out services, repairs and attending breakdowns on elevated work platforms, lighting towers, telehandlers, forklifts and small construction equipment such as mini dumpers.

In this role you will be able to organise your days independently with support from the Field Service Coordinator in the Brisbane Branch.

Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Servicing, inspecting & repairs of equipment such as EWP's, lighting towers, telehandlers, and the occasional hydraulic hoses & small diesel engines.
• Be available to travel including overnight accommodation when required
• Responsible for completing all appropriate paperwork and inspection forms required by JLG policy, ANZ Standards and customer and/or site requirements in a timely manner
• Conduct Van audits and stock take
• Visiting existing and new customers in your region
• Cold Calling in your region
• General admin and ad hoc duties may be required from time to time

Qualifications include:

• MUST have mechanical trade qualification - elevating work platform technology, heavy vehicle, diesel, automotive, auto electrical.
• Previous mechanical experience working on access plant or heavy equipment
• MUST have a valid driver's licence
• Must have own basic tools
• MUST have attention to details, diagnostic & problem-solving skills
• Successful applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment medical
