Job summary

Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet invites applications for Regional Executive Director - Big Rivers (ECO 2), Katherine, NT. This is a fixed‑period 4‑year, full‑time appointment with base remuneration of $262,223–$281,160 per year.

You will lead whole‑of‑government regional delivery, drive strategic partnerships and provide high‑level advice to inform decisions, policies and reforms. The role offers relocation and housing support where eligible and a vibrant Katherine lifestyle.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and senior leadership experience or equivalent mix of experience and training.
• Proven regional economic development, policy implementation and strategic leadership.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to build lasting cross‑agency alliances.
• Excellent communication with CEOs, Senior Executives, Ministers and diverse stakeholders.
• High level political awareness and whole‑of‑government perspective.
• Knowledge of regional, remote and urban issues and their drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole‑of‑government coordination to deliver NT Government priorities regionally.
• Build strategic partnerships with government, industry and communities.
• Represent NT Government at regional forums and stakeholder engagements.
• Provide strategic regional advice to inform decisions, policies and reforms.
• Drive regional economic planning and opportunities for growth and investment.
• Champion regional priorities and progress major projects and initiatives.
