Job summary

Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet – Melbourne VIC is seeking a Regional Executive Director for Big Rivers, based in Katherine. This is a four-year full-time appointment with a substantial regional leadership remit across government, industry and communities.

You will lead whole-of-government coordination, build strategic partnerships, and provide high-level regional advice to inform priorities and reforms, shaping growth and investment in the Katherine region.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualifications and senior leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Proven expertise in regional economic development and policy implementation.
• Strong collaborative skills and ability to build strategic alliances across government and industry.

Responsibilities

• Lead whole-of-government coordination to drive NT Government priorities across the Big Rivers region.
• Build strategic partnerships with government, industry and communities to identify opportunities and address regional challenges.
• Represent the NT Government at key regional forums and stakeholder engagements.
• Provide strategic regional advice and insights to inform decisions, policies and reforms.
• Drive regional economic planning and support opportunities for growth and investment.
• Champion regional priorities and progress major projects and initiatives.
