Job summary

Durack Civil is seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join the delivery team on FIFO/DIDO projects across regional Queensland and Northern New South Wales. You will report to the Project Manager and help plan, coordinate and deliver road, bridge and transport infrastructure safely, on time and within budget.

This role offers hands-on delivery with genuine ownership, opportunities to work with experienced professionals, and a clear path to Senior Project Engineer and Project Management

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of civil construction methodologies and project delivery.
• Proven experience managing subcontractors, procurement and project costs.
• Ability to work independently in regional project environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the successful delivery of civil construction projects from award through to completion.
• Coordinate project planning, programming and daily project activities.
• Manage procurement, subcontractors and supplier relationships.
• Monitor project costs, production and forecasting.
• Prepare monthly reporting, progress claims and project documentation.
• Implement and maintain project quality systems, ITPs and compliance requirements.
• Support site teams to achieve safety, quality and programme objectives.
• Mentor Site Engineers and Graduate Engineers.
• Assist with project methodology development and construction planning.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with client specifications and company systems.
• Support tendering and project handovers as required.
