Job summary

Arch Underwriting at Lloyd's (Australia) Pty Ltd. in Sydney seeks a senior underwriting leader to guide the Australia/NZ A&H portfolio, drive growth, and ensure compliance with Arch guidelines.

You will manage a regional team, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and contribute to strategic planning and product development. Role requires 5–10 years in Australian/New Zealand A&H markets, strong leadership, and a track record in under-writing and client relationship management.

Qualifications

• Tertiary degree in finance, commerce, law, accounting or similar is preferred.
• Professional certifications within the insurance industry are preferred but not essential.
• Minimum 5-10 years of work experience in Australian/New Zealand A&H insurance markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Region A&H underwriters and ensure compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Be accountable for the A&H Region Growth Strategy and distribution strategy.
• Provide monthly End of Month Reporting on the Region A&H book.
• Coordinate underwriting actions with other departments to achieve customer satisfaction and business goals.
• Provide direction to the local underwriting team to achieve strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with regional and underwriter managers on annual and long-term operating plans.
