Job summary

Protecht is seeking a Lead Mobile Developer to lead the Mobile Team and own the React Native app within our Enterprise Risk Management platform. You’ll guide architecture, mentor a trio of developers, and collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver high‑performing apps.

You’ll shape mobile delivery as Protecht scales globally, with hybrid working and ongoing learning opportunities. Experience mentoring and strong React Native expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with React Native.
• Experience mentoring and training others.
• Experience with Expo and EAS services.
• Experience building offline‑first mobile apps, ideally with Realm or a comparable embedded/sync database.
• Experience with state management (Redux, TanStack, Context API).
• Familiarity with iOS/Android native development and testing frameworks (Jest, Detox).
• A relevant tertiary qualification, such as computer science or information systems.

We're looking for a Lead Mobile Developer who's excited to build and grow with us. You'll lead our Mobile Team and take ownership of our React Native mobile app, a key part of our Enterprise Risk Management platform that helps organisations manage risk with confidence.

This is a hands‑on leadership role. You'll guide a team of three developers and work closely with product, design, and engineering to deliver elegant, high‑performing apps. You'll also help shape our mobile architecture, coach your team, and guide how we bring new ideas to life.

What You'll Bring

• A passion for mentoring and training others.
• Experience with Expo and EAS services.
• Experience building offline‑first mobile apps, ideally with Realm or a comparable embedded/sync database.
• Experience with state management (Redux, TanStack, Context API).
• Familiarity with iOS/Android native development and testing frameworks (Jest, Detox).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills, and a great communicator and collaborator.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, such as computer science or information systems.
• (Nice to have) Experience with AI‑assisted development tools, Appium, mobile security hardening (e.g. certificate pinning), RTK Query, CI/CD pipelines for mobile, publishing to the App Store and Google Play, managing offshore teams, or WCAG accessibility standards.
