Job summary

Cleanaway is seeking a Refinery Manager at its Wetherill Park facility in NSW to lead refinery operations and maintenance, driving a culture of ownership and continuous improvement across a heavy industrial environment.

You will oversee safety, reliability, budgets and asset performance, building capability across teams while ensuring compliance with process safety and regulatory obligations. Strong leadership and commercial acumen are essential to deliver production outcomes.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Chemistry.
• Experience leading operational, technical or maintenance teams in heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of process safety, hazardous area operations and risk management.
• Commercial acumen with budgets, cost management and productivity drivers.
• Experience leading process optimisation and reliability improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead refinery operations to achieve production, safety and compliance objectives in a continuous processing environment.
• Build capability and accountability across operations and maintenance teams.
• Drive plant reliability, performance and efficiency improvements while reducing risk.
• Provide technical leadership across refinery activities and hazardous area management.
• Oversee planning, budgeting and resource allocation to support asset performance and output.
• Ensure compliance with Australian Standards and process safety requirements.
