Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a large-scale refinery operation in Wagerup, WA. You will provide mechanical leadership, drive reliability improvements and mentor a small team within a complex processing environment.

The role concentrates on equipment performance, asset integrity and continuous improvement across critical plant areas, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a mid-September 2026 start window.

Qualifications

• Senior/Lead mechanical engineer with leadership experience.
• Experience in maintenance, reliability, plant engineering and asset management.
• Knowledge of welding procedures and pressure equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering leadership and support across the Precipitation and Calcination areas.
• Lead and facilitate RCA and problem-solving initiatives for equipment downtime.
• Provide expert engineering advice to operations and maintenance teams.
