Job summary

TOMRA is expanding its Brookvale Depot team in Sydney. The Depot Operator role focuses on day-to-day depot operations, welcoming customers, and guiding them to our reverse vending machines.

The job emphasizes autonomy, a friendly customer experience, and upkeep of the depot environment. Success in this role comes from prior customer service or maintenance experience, strong communication, and a willingness to learn; training will be provided to cover Return and Earn processes and safety

• First aid and/or fire warden certification

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of TOMRA Bulk Depots.
• Greet customers and provide information on the Return and Earn scheme.
• Assist customers from their vehicles to the reverse vending machines; perform cleaning and maintenance.
• Work autonomously and be a friendly face in the depot.
• Contribute to making the depots a pillar of the town.

What will you be doing?

We're expanding our team at our Brookvale Depot! If you’re personable, or a go getter and not afraid to get down and dirty, then this role is perfect for you. If you’re all of the above, even better!

Reporting to the Depot Supervisor, this role is responsible for day-to-day operations of TOMRA Bulk Depots and enhancing the TOMRA customer experience.

A typical day as a TOMRA Depot operator will see you greeting our customers and providing information on the Return and Earn scheme, assisting customers from their vehicles to our reverse vending machines general cleaning and maintenance.

Beyond the day-to-day, we’re looking for someone can work autonomously, be a friendly face for our customers and make our depots the pillar of the town.

• Pay rate for adults is paid at Level 2 Waste Management Award.
• Federal police check, pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol screen) and reference checks are part of the background process for employment.
