Job summary

Outlook Australia is hiring a part-time Recycling Attendant for the Biloela Recycling Facility. You will greet customers, guide recycling practices, sort materials, and help move items across the site while supporting reuse initiatives.

The role emphasises safety, reliability, and teamwork, with training provided. Weekend and public holiday flexibility is required, and a friendly, inclusive team culture is offered.

• Bonus: experience with forklifts or waste management is valued but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with recycling guidance and disposal practices.
• Identify and sort recyclable materials such as metals, wood, cardboard, and household goods.
• Move materials across the facility in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Support the Reuse Shop by facilitating items going for reuse and second-life opportunities.

The Role

We’re seeking a part-time Recycling Attendants to join our team at the Biloela Recycling Facility. As a Recycling Attendant, you’ll work closely with customers to guide them on safe and effective recycling practices, salvage materials for reuse, and contribute to our mission of reducing waste while promoting sustainability.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and assist customers with recycling and disposal practices.
• Identify and sort recyclable materials such as metals, wood, cardboard, and household goods.
• Help move materials across the facility in both indoor and outdoor environments.
• Support our Reuse Shop, giving second life to items like clothing, building materials, and garden supplies.
