About us
Outlook is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to building an inclusive society. We empower people with disabilities and those experiencing disadvantage, providing opportunities for meaningful community participation and equal rights.
Outlook Australia’s vision is to create an inclusive society for all. We are a thriving, sustainable organisation dedicated to promoting the empowerment of people with disabilities and those experiencing disadvantage. We operate through two key divisions: Community Services, which provides life skills, in-home care, and community access support, and Social Enterprise, which creates employment opportunities for people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
As part of our team, you will offer customers a unique shopping experience at our reuse market, process sales, manage inventory for resale, and help break down unsaleable items to maximise material recovery. This role is not just about sales; it’s about making a tangible difference in our community and environment by promoting reuse and recycling. You will have the chance to grow with Outlook, learning various roles within a motivated, helpful, and exceptionally friendly team.
While previous experience in customer service or purchasing is beneficial, we place a high value on enthusiasm, a proactive attitude, and strong teamwork skills. We are looking for someone with excellent communication abilities, a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Retail experience is highly regarded but not essential. If you are eager to learn and have a positive outlook, we are excited to train you and help you grow in your career.
At Outlook, we recognise that everyone is unique and may require different support to participate fully in the recruitment process. If there are any adjustments we can make to help you showcase your skills, experience, and potential, please contact our recruitment team recruitment@outlookaust.org.au. We are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible recruitment experience.
Outlook is an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people with disabilities, and individuals from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
