Job summary

Smart Apprenticeship Solutions, part of The BUSY Group, seeks an experienced Recruitment Officer to elevate our GTO recruitment across Queensland. You’ll design sourcing strategies, mentor teams, and ensure high candidate and client experiences while maintaining compliant processes.

You’ll build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, collaborate with host employers, schools and training providers, and travel across QLD, NSW and VIC as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in recruitment, HR or a similar field, including leading a team.
• Strong sourcing, talent attraction and pipeline development skills.
• Experience improving recruitment processes, systems or performance.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
• High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong administration and reporting skills.
• High computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Current driver’s licence and ability to travel across QLD, NSW and VIC.
• Current Working with Children Check.

Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies that attract high-quality candidates for GTO vacancies across all regions.
• Identify new sourcing channels and partnerships to diversify and strengthen the talent pool.
• Design and implement talent pooling strategies, building pipelines for hard-to-fill roles, regions and industries.
• Oversee candidate readiness, including mentoring, resume support and mock interviews.
• Enhance end-to-end recruitment processes, improving systems, tools, documentation and compliance.
• Provide recruitment performance reporting including sourcing effectiveness, time-to-fill and quality of hire.
• Build strong relationships with host employers, training providers, schools and community groups.
• Represent the organisation at events, careers days and networking activities.

Smart Apprenticeship Solutions are seeking an experienced and energetic Recruitment Officer to manage and elevate our GTO recruitment function across Queensland.

As a Recruitment Officer you’ll bring structure, consistency and innovation to the recruitment function. Your work directly impacts candidate success, host employer satisfaction and the strength of our talent pipeline across QLD.
