Job summary

Ashfield Baptist Homes is seeking a friendly Recreational Activities Officer to join the Lifestyle Team on weekends in Sydney. The role supports residents by planning and delivering engaging activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social connection.

This part-time position runs Saturday 10:00AM–02:00PM and Sunday 09:00AM–01:00PM, with potential for additional shifts. Commitment to Christian values and compassionate care is essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Aged Care or related qualification/experience.
• Experience in planning and delivering lifestyle programs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and empathetic approach to residents and families.
• Knowledge of Aged Care Standards and accreditation processes.
• Current Driver’s License and First Aid Certificate (desirable).
• Computer literacy and good documentation skills.
• Understanding of Work Health & Safety practices.
• Commitment to the Christian values of Ashfield Baptist Homes.

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Aged Care or related qualification/experience (Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure highly regarded)
• Experience in planning and delivering lifestyle programs
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills and empathetic approach to residents and families
