Job summary

Flourish Australia is seeking a Peer Worker to join the Commonwealth Psychosocial Support (CPS) program in Emerald. The role emphasises recovery, authentic connection and leveraging lived experience to support individuals with mental health challenges toward independent living.

You will deliver time-limited, goal-oriented support, co-design individual recovery plans, assess progress and help run group programs that build skills and social connections.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or higher in a relevant field OR minimum of 2 years full-time experience in human services.
• Personal lived experience of a mental health challenge and recovery.
• Willingness and ability to use lived experience appropriately.
• Alignment with Flourish Australia's values.
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured, time-limited, goal-oriented support per CPS guidelines.
• Collaborate with participants to co-design and implement recovery plans.
• Conduct assessments, monitor progress and adapt supports.
• Co-facilitate group programs promoting recovery, social connection and skills.
