Job summary

ACARA is seeking an experienced Records Management Officer to strengthen its records and information management practices and support a program of organisational improvement. This is a 12-month fixed-term position with an attractive salary range.

In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of ACARA’s records and information management framework, coordinate remediation activities, and develop policies, procedures and guidance to embed compliant practices across the organisation.

Qualifications

  • Experience delivering records management, compliance or continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of records and information management legislation, standards and best practice.
  • Experience developing and implementing records management frameworks, policies, and guidance.
  • Ability to translate complex requirements into practical advice.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities.
  • Experience supporting audit or remediation activities, ideally in a Commonwealth Government environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of ACARA’s records and information management framework.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of ACARA’s records and information management framework.

  • Develop practical policies, procedures, guidance and training that support good recordkeeping across the organisation.
  • Partner with teams across ACARA to embed consistent and compliant records management practices.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Experience developing and delivering records management, compliance or continuous improvement activities.
  • Sound knowledge of records and information management legislation, standards and best practice.
  • Experience developing and implementing records management frameworks, policies, procedures and guidance.
  • The ability to translate complex requirements into practical advice and solutions.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build awareness and encourage positive change.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes.
  • Experience supporting audit, assurance or remediation activities, ideally within a Commonwealth Government environment.
