Job summary

As our Receptionist at Anglicare Sydney, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, creating a calm, welcoming and professional experience. You will coordinate reception, site administration, supplies, facilities requests and internal communication to keep services responsive.

You will support staff inductions, handle invoices, payments and reimbursements, and maintain confidentiality with diverse clients.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in an administration, reception or customer service role within a similar environment.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel capability, and confidence learning other systems.
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy and time management.

  • Manage reception and daily site processes, including sign-in, mail, supplies, rooms, equipment and contractor coordination.

Your opportunity

As the first point of contact for clients and visitors, you will create a calm, welcoming and professional experience, including for people who may be in crisis or have complex needs. You will also provide practical administrative support that helps our services stay organised, well‑resourced and responsive. Working closely with the Site Operations Manager and Community Services teams, you will coordinate reception, site administration, supplies, facilities requests, financial processing and internal communication.

What’s required
  • Demonstrated experience in an administration, reception or customer service role within a similar environment.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to welcome and support people who may be in crisis.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including intermediate Excel capability, and confidence learning other systems.
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy and time management, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
What’s preferred
  • Experience in community services, health, mental health or another client‑focused service environment.
  • Experience with invoice processing, accounts payable, reconciliations or systems such as Basware.
