Working within our Financial Wellbeing & Community team, you’ll meet people where they are – in Anglicare offices and across community locations including community hubs, pantries, churches and local services. Using a person-centred, trauma-informed and strengths-based approach, you’ll work alongside clients to understand their financial circumstances, identify their goals and develop practical strategies that support lasting change. You’ll work closely with Financial Counsellors, Community Pantries and Hubs and other services to provide integrated support, while building strong relationships and referral pathways across the local community.

You’re someone who can talk about money without judgement and understands that financial hardship is rarely just about numbers. You’ll bring genuine compassion for people experiencing financial stress, together with the practical case management skills to help clients identify their own goals and build the confidence and capability to achieve them. You’re calm under pressure and comfortable supporting people who may be distressed or experiencing complex circumstances. You can connect effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, including culturally and linguistically diverse communities and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. You’ll also be comfortable working out in the community and collaborating with churches, local services and other organisations to make support easier for people to access.
