Job summary

The Queensland Government seeks an Advisor (Real-time Network Management Support) to monitor real-time traffic operations and advise on network management priorities. You will lead data system improvements and train operators to maintain high-quality service.

Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, you will ensure compliance with policy and governance, publish standard procedures, and provide timely traveller information during incidents.

Qualifications

• Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and ensure decisions are based on appropriate information.
• Ability to plan and organise own work and make operational decisions.
• Ability to identify, plan and contribute to improvements to procedures and processes and systems.
• Effective written and verbal communication including briefs of events on the road network.

Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time operations of the state-controlled road network and provide operational decisions and SME guidance to set priorities.
• Communicate advice on network management systems and processes, including reports and correspondence.
• Lead development, implementation, testing and training for data management systems and network disruption processes.
• Oversee data reports and dashboards, including performance analysis and quality control of systems and processes.
• Publish consolidated standard operating procedures and work instructions; ensure governance compliance.
