TMGM, a global online trading and investment firm, is seeking a Data Analyst in Sydney to transform high-velocity data into financial insights that inform trading strategies. You will work with real-time data streams and PnL reporting to support decision making.

Responsibilities include SQL, Python scripting, data modeling, and KPI development for trading desks, ensuring data quality and governance, and collaborating with engineering and finance teams.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related quantitative field.
• Experience in finance/fintech with understanding of trading data.
• Advanced SQL and OLAP experience with ClickHouse.
• Python for data manipulation and automation.
• Experience with data visualization to present real-time data.
• Ability to explain technical results to diverse stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with governance and data accuracy focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated PnL reporting frameworks from real-time data streams.
• Conduct deep-dive trading analytics to identify execution patterns and market impact.
• Write and optimise complex SQL queries in ClickHouse for large datasets.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs for trading desks.
• Monitor data quality and governance to ensure accurate reporting.
• Use Python to build data processing scripts automating analyses.
• Design data models and schemas supporting high-frequency reporting.
