Job summary

Montgomery Advisory, acting for a leading independent Australian law firm, is seeking a Lawyer or Associate to join its Real Estate team in Sydney or Melbourne. You will work on high-quality real estate matters for major property clients, developers, landlords and institutional investors.

You will handle leases, acquisitions and development work, draft and negotiate leases, and support major transactions in a collaborative, commercially focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' post-admission experience in property or real estate law
• Strong experience in commercial leasing across a broad range of matters
• Excellent drafting skills and strong attention to detail
• Commercial, client-focused approach and strong communication
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work in a team

Responsibilities

• Work across a broad range of commercial real estate matters, including leasing, acquisitions and disposals.
• Draft and negotiate leases and associated property documentation.
• Advise landlords, tenants, developers and institutional investors.
• Support major real estate transactions and projects.
• Gain exposure to sophisticated clients in a collaborative, commercially focused environment.
