Job summary

Trade Choice Carpet and Flooring is seeking an experienced Van Driver to support our busy warehouse and transport stock to customers. You will deliver goods safely and on schedule, perform loading/unloading, and conduct quality checks with customer signatures on delivery.

The role requires a valid C license, a clean driving record, and strong planning, time management, and safety practices. Workdays are typically 7AM–4PM, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driving licence C and a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations for transporting goods.
• Excellent time management and ability to work independently or with a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload the vehicle safely and correctly.
• Conduct multi-drop deliveries in a timely manner.
• Perform quality checks and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting incidents as required.
• Drive in compliance with local laws and time limits, ensuring safety.

Job description

Here at Trade Choice Carpet and Flooring we are looking for an experienced Van Driver to support our busy warehouse helping to transport stock to our customers. You will be responsible for performing deliveries safely, efficiently and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the loading and unloading of the vehicle to ensure it is conducted correctly and safely.
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries in a safe and timely manner
• Conduct quality checks upon delivery and obtain customer signatures as proof of receipt.
• Keep the vehicle clean, well-maintained, and free from preventable damage.
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately, following company procedures
• Drive within legal compliance, the UK Highway Code, and driving time limits.
• Valid commercial driving licence (C) with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
• Strong planning and organisation
• Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
