Job summary

A permanent Counterbalance FLT Driver role is available for a Benton site. The position offers 37.5 hours per week in a rotating days/twilight/night shift pattern and a competitive hourly rate equivalent to £28,411 annually.

You will play a key part in moving materials and finished goods safely and efficiently within a busy production environment, with a structured shift rotation and long-term career prospects with a growing North East employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck in a warehouse, factory or production environment.
• Valid full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Moving, positioning and organising goods throughout the factory.
• Loading and unloading vehicles in the yard.
• Ensuring materials are delivered to the correct production and storage areas.
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Following site processes, safe working practices and current health and safety policies.
• Undertaking manual handling duties, including the movement of heavy goods.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the working area.
• Supporting general factory and yard duties when required.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production and operational targets.
