Job summary

The Rowing Pavilion is seeking a hands-on Duty Manager to lead busy shifts, set the tone on the floor and develop the crew. You’ll be dependable, great with people and eager to learn, with previous supervisory experience in hospitality.

You’ll coach and support the team, resolve guest issues calmly and ensure standards remain high in service, presentation and operations.

Join our lively riverside venue - The Rowing Pavilion - with a team that works hard, backs each other and knows how to enjoy a shift.

We're looking for a hands-on Duty Manager who loves the energy of busy service, leads from the floor and wants to bring the best out of the crew around them.

You might already be running shifts, or you might be a strong supervisor ready to step up. What matters most is that you're dependable, good working with people and keen to keep learning.

What You'll Be Doing:

Leading busy shifts and keeping the team clear, supported and moving.

Setting the tone on the floor and jumping in wherever needed.

Coaching team members and giving useful feedback in the moment.

Making decisions and handling guest issues calmly and confidently.

Keeping standards high across service, presentation and operations.

Making sure each shift leaves the venue ready for the next one.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience in leadership or supervisory role in hospitality.

Great communication and problem-solving skills.

Someone who is eager to learn, grow and ambitious about building a name for themselves.

Someone who thrives in the thick of a busy service, leads from the front, and brings the team together to deliver at a high level.
