Job description

A role where you can be you. At Dimensions, you can bring your whole self to work - and be celebrated for it. You'll support autistic people and adults with learning disabilities to live more independently, building confidence and joy in everyday life. We'll support you too, with a workplace that values wellbeing, listens to every voice, and offers real opportunities to grow through Aspire and Dimensions Academy. Recognised as a Great Place to Work for eight years running, this is more than a job - it's a place where you can truly be you.

About the Role
  • Female Waking Night Support Worker
  • Part time - 10 hours per week (X1 Shift a week, every Wednesday night)
  • £14.66 per hour
  • Harston, Cambridgeshire.
  • Up to £1,000 welcome bonus (pro-rota)
  • Full UK driving licence essential.

We're looking for a Female Waking Night Support Worker to join our supported living home in Harston, Cambridgeshire, where you will play a vital role in ensuring comfort, safety, and reassurance throughout the night.

You will work as part of a two-person team (one waking night and one sleep-in) and provide attentive support to four people, three ladies and one gentleman, aged from their late 20s to their 50s. Each person communicates in their own way: the ladies use facial expressions and body language, while the gentleman uses words and enjoys positive interaction. All three ladies are PEG-fed, and you'll receive full training, so you feel confident and supported in delivering this care.

Night-time responsibilities include
  • Providing personal care in a respectful, dignified way.
  • Administering medication (training provided).
  • Carrying out regular observations.
  • Supporting specialised health needs such as PEG.
  • Completing light household tasks to prepare for the following day.

Shifts: One waking night shift per week, every Wednesday, start 9:45pm to 7:45am.

A full UK driving licence and access to your own car are essential.

About You

You'll bring previous experience in providing care or support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people, along with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred support. You'll be confident in working waking night shifts and comfortable with responsibilities such as personal care, medication, and supporting specialised health needs (full training for PEG will be provided).

You will be someone who works calmly and thoughtfully, with a genuine belief in supporting people to feel safe, respected, and valued throughout the night.

Rewards that make a difference
  • A competitive payrate with uplift for overtime you chose to work.
  • 30 days paid Annual Leave (including public holidays - pro rata)
  • Opportunities for career progression
  • Supported 'Learn to Drive' scheme (up to 30 driving lessons, 1 theory/practical test - all paid for by us)
  • We offer a salary advance scheme where you can access up to 50% of the money you've earned before payday.
  • High Street Discounts - Retail and Entertainment (supermarkets, hospitality, pubs, cinema etc.)
  • Life Assurance and Company Pension
  • Industry leading training
  • Enhanced DBS paid for by us
