Job summary

Lime Recruitment is seeking a React/Java developer for a Queensland Government client to contribute to the ROAR system. You will review existing code, implement enhancements, and ensure smooth interfaces with other systems while maintaining quality tests and documentation.

The role combines hands-on development with deployment support, testing, and collaboration across teams in a hybrid Brisbane CBD setting.

Qualifications

• Experience reviewing existing code, architecture, dependencies and deployment arrangements.
• Delivery of ROAR enhancements to support business requirements and new interfaces with other systems.
• Ability to assess technology uplift options and implement the agreed compatible target.
• Development of automated tests and support for integration, regression and user acceptance testing.
• Support deployment, defect resolution and operational handover.

Lime Recruitment is currently working with a large Queensland Government client to recruit a React/Java developer. In this role, you will undertake enhancements to the existing inhouse Road Operations Asset Register (ROAR).

Key Responsibilities

Review the existing code, architecture, dependencies and deployment arrangements.

Deliver enhancements to the ROAR application to support business requirements and new interfaces with other systems.

Assess technology uplift options and implement the agreed compatible target.

Develop automated tests and support integration, regression and user acceptance testing.

Support deployment, defect resolution and operational handover.

Maintain clear technical documentation and identify scope, compatibility and delivery risks.

About You

IBM WebSphere application deployment and troubleshooting

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Ability to investigate unfamiliar code and implement changes without disrupting essential existing behaviour.

API development and integration with other systems

Experience with Oracle cloud SQL and PL/SQL code
