Job summary

EBR Ever Better Recruitment – Brisbane QLD is hiring multiple Full Stack Developers. You will build customer-facing web apps for policy and claims, plus internal tools, within a team of 60 developers and testers overlooking the Brisbane river.

Responsibilities include designing Java 8/TypeScript code, cloud micro-services, front-end work in TS/AngularJS, and contributing to CI/CD with AWS deployments. A collaborative Scrum environment supports continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial web development experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Java 8.
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
• Knowledge of SQL and ORM technologies.
• Familiar with React, Angular or Vue.
• Understanding of cloud deployment with Docker and AWS.
• Experience with monitoring tools (New Relic/Sumo Logic).
• Experience with AWS services such as S3, EC2, Lambda, SQS.
• Knowledge of micro-service and message bus design patterns.
• Proficient with Atlassian tools: JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
• Source control with Git.
• Understanding of OWASP security implications.
• Financial services background is a plus.

Based in the heart of Brisbane, you will be building applications that allow customers to buy and manage their policies and claims online, and also contributing to the development of internal applications used by our staff to support the business operation. You will be supported by a team of 60 developers, testers and agile practitioners in their office overlooking the Brisbane river.
