Job summary

Precision Exploration Drilling in Brisbane seeks an experienced RC Driller/Relief Driller to join our team on a full-time basis. You will operate RC rigs, lead crew members on remote projects, and maintain equipment to ensure safe, efficient drilling operations.

We offer industry-leading day rates, FIFO from Perth with interstate flights, flexible roster options (2:1, 2:2, 4:2), and on-the-job training for further qualifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated RC drilling experience and understanding of RC operations.
• Current HR driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Operate RC drilling rigs and related equipment safely and efficiently.

• Provide guidance and supervision to offsiders and crew members.
• Manage site supplies and inventory of consumables and equipment.

About the Role

As an RC Driller or Relief Driller, you will play a key role in delivering safe, efficient and productive drilling operations across remote project locations.

You will be responsible for operating RC drilling rigs and associated equipment, managing day-to-day drilling activities, maintaining equipment and ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and relevant safety standards.

We are looking for motivated, experienced professionals who take pride in their work, demonstrate strong leadership and mechanical aptitude, and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate RC drilling rigs and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently.

• Conduct daily pre-start inspections, equipment checks and routine maintenance.

• Monitor drilling progress, maintain accurate field records and adjust operations as required.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, environmental and operational procedures.

• Provide guidance, training and supervision to offsiders and other crew members as required.

• Monitor and manage site supplies, consumables and equipment inventory.

• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, clients and fellow crew members.

• Promote a positive safety culture and contribute to continuous operational improvement.

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as an RC Driller, with a sound understanding of RC drilling operations and techniques.

• Current HR (Heavy Rigid) driver's licence.

• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Ability to work effectively in remote locations and challenging conditions.

• Good mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication, teamwork and leadership abilities.

• Physical fitness and resilience to meet the demands of the role.

• Certificate IV in Drilling Operations is highly desirable.
