Job summary

Shire of Campaspe invites applications for the Rates and Revenue Team Leader who will supervise the rates and debtors team, oversee valuation imports and rate modelling.

The role also maintains the property system, issues notices under the Local Government Act, and supports the transition to TechnologyOne Ci Anywhere, with flexible work options.

A Finance/Business/Valuation degree or equivalent experience, strong communication, and current checks are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in rates administration and debtor management.
• Knowledge of relevant local government legislation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supervising staff.
• Satisfactory National Police Check.
• Working with Children Check.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the rates and debtors team to ensure timely and accurate tasks.
• Manage valuation imports, the rate model, and annual rate charges.
• Maintain Council’s property system and address records.
• Issue rate notices under the Local Government Act and manage arrears.
• Liaise with ratepayers on objections, payments, and debts.
• Support transition to TechnologyOne Ci Anywhere.
