Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council is seeking an identified RAP Officer to coordinate the Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan 2025–2028 and strengthen partnerships with First Nations communities across the region. Working with the First Nations Lead and internal stakeholders, you will help advance reconciliation outcomes and build cultural capability.

This permanent, full‑time role requires strong coordination, relationship building and excellent communication across a range of digital systems.

Qualifications

• Must have cultural knowledge of First Nations cultures and communities.
• Strong relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent project coordination and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across digital systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Council's Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan, including reporting, record management and progress tracking.
• Provide governance and secretariat support to the RAP Working Group and RAP Champion, including meeting coordination and action management.
• Collaborate across Council to deliver RAP initiatives and support the integration of reconciliation outcomes into business activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with Traditional Custodians, First Nations communities and key stakeholders while supporting engagement activities and communications.
