Job summary

Sunshine Coast Council seeks a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Officer (Identified) to coordinate RAP implementation and strengthen First Nations partnerships across the region. Working with the First Nations Lead and stakeholders, you will advance reconciliation outcomes and cultural capability while contributing to meaningful community outcomes.

• You bring cultural knowledge of First Nations cultures, histories and contemporary issues.
• You have experience engaging with First Nations communities, organisations and networks.
• You are a relationship builder with ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the implementation of Sunshine Coast Council's Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.
• Provide governance and secretariat support to RAP Working Group and RAP Champion.
• Collaborate across Council to deliver RAP initiatives and integrate reconciliation into activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with Traditional Custodians and First Nations communities.
