Job summary

The Eurobodalla Shire Council is seeking a Ranger in the Compliance Division, based in Moruya, NSW. This permanent, full‑time role focuses on investigating and managing illegal dumping and broader community compliance matters, with opportunities to engage with residents and contribute to a safe, well‑managed environment.

Salary ranges from $69,015.43 to $85,305.70 per annum, plus 12% superannuation; salary progression is based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• You are a confident communicator with experience in compliance, regulatory, investigative, environmental, enforcement or customer service‑related work.
• Strong problem‑solving and investigative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, prevent and manage illegal dumping and environmental compliance matters across the Shire.
• Conduct field investigations, respond to environmental complaints, gather evidence and engage with the community.
• Support regulatory services, including enforcement activities and education to deliver positive community outcomes.
