The Ranger will deliver natural and cultural values management at the field centre, with a particular focus on the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA).

You will inspect and respond to asset management needs to maintain infrastructure, respond to critical incidents, participate in weed management, and assist with operational planning.

Based at Lake St Clair, Australia’s deepest freshwater lake, you will enjoy working outdoors in a spectacular environment of dense ancient pine forests and high mountains, supporting visitors to have safe and memorable experiences.

This is a fixed-term 12-month position working 76 hours (minimum 60.80 hours by negotiation) per fortnight.

  • Has experience as a Ranger and/or in natural values management.

  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate visitors and engage with a variety of stakeholders.
