Qualifications

  • Has experience as a Ranger and/or in natural values management.
  • Demonstrates physical fitness and ability to trek long distances in remote locations.
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills to educate visitors and engage with stakeholders.
  • Is a collaborative team player.
  • Has experience conducting fire suppression operations.

Responsibilities

  • The Ranger will deliver natural and cultural values management at the field centre, focusing on the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area (TWWHA).
  • Inspect and respond to asset management needs to maintain infrastructure, respond to incidents, participate in weed management, and assist with planning.
  • Based at Lake St Clair, work outdoors in a spectacular environment, supporting visitors to have safe and memorable experiences.
