City of Moreton Bay is seeking a Local Laws Ranger to support education, investigations and enforcement of local laws across Caboolture and the city. You will engage with residents, investigate issues and apply legislation in a fair, professional manner to protect community safety and amenity.
You will balance education, customer service and enforcement, building positive relationships while handling sensitive information with integrity and sound judgement.

Please note: The Local Laws Ranger positions require successful applicants to be available to work any 5 out of 7 days (1 in 3 weekends) as part of the ordinary hours and participate in council's "After Hours On-Call and Programmed Overtime Roster" service. This will include working every third weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
You are an experienced compliance professional who can confidently interpret and apply legislation, conduct investigations and make sound regulatory decisions.
You thrive in a role that balances education, customer service and enforcement. You build positive relationships while managing challenging situations with professionalism, integrity and sound judgement.
You have excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, are proficient in using technology and can manage competing priorities in a dynamic regulatory environment. You are committed to workplace safety and maintain high standards of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive information.
Experience in animal management and the humane handling of domestic and livestock animals will be highly regarded.
