Job summary

Qantas Ground Services is seeking Ground Crew (Ramp) at Mascot airport, Sydney. You will load and unload baggage, transport it to terminals and aircraft, and operate a range of equipment in a fast-paced outdoor setting.

We require a current full state or territory driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 32 kg, and a 7-day rotating shift roster. You’ll work safely under OH&S guidelines and thrive in a team environment with a positive, can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• A current and valid full state or territory driver’s license.
• The ability to repetitively lift items up to 32 kgs in weight.
• Availability to work a 7-day week rotating shift roster.
• Be fit and comfortable working in a manual handling or physical role, within a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Recent experience in a manual handling or physical role, within a fast‑paced operational environment.
• A passion for safety and working within OH&S guidelines at all times.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• A hard‑working nature and a positive ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide Ramp Services to meet the needs of customers travelling across Australia and the globe.
• Load and unload customer baggage.
• Transport baggage to terminals and aircraft.
• Operate a range of specialised equipment.
• Read and interpret hazardous material identification labels and aircraft loading manifests.
