Job summary

Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is hiring Freight Ground Crew at Mascot Airport to handle domestic and international freight with confidence and safety. You will load/unload aircraft, operate forklifts and heavy equipment, and manage freight documents in iCargo.

Applicants should hold a current driving license and forklift certification (or be willing to obtain one). A flexible, team-oriented approach is essential for shift work in a dynamic 24/7 roster.

Qualifications

• Current or provisional state/territory driver's license
• Forklift license or willingness to obtain at own expense
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 32 kg
• Willingness to work a 24/7 rotating roster
• Pass pre-employment medical (Qantas funded)
• Previous forklift experience preferred
• Experience in manual handling or physical role in fast-paced environment preferred
• Safety-focused mindset and adherence to WHS guidelines
• Team player with a positive can-do attitude
• Care and responsibility for customer freight

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight from aircraft
• Operate forklifts, tugs and heavy machinery
• Use Warehouse System (iCargo) and scanners for freight documentation
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers to grow skills and career
