Job summary

Ramen Go is seeking a motivated and experienced Cook to join our growing kitchen team. You will work across our two venues, Ramen Go Coffs Harbour and Ramen Go Sawtell, preparing authentic Japanese ramen, rice dishes and gyoza to our established standards.

Full-time, 38 hours per week. Annual salary AUD 80,000–81,500 plus Superannuation. Supportive team environment with training and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• At least 1.5 years of relevant experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen.
• Experience preparing ramen or Japanese-style cuisine is highly regarded.
• Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and safe food handling practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook ramen, rice dishes, gyoza and Japanese-style side dishes in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Prepare broths, sauces, toppings and other ingredients for daily service.
• Portion, plate and present meals consistently and to the restaurant's standards.
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portion control and presentation during service.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils and work areas.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory control and receiving deliveries.
• Monitor food quality and minimise food waste.
• Assist with training and supporting new kitchen staff in food preparation and kitchen procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
