Job summary

PYBAR Mining Services, part of the Thiess family, is seeking an experienced Raise Bore Supervisor to lead underground crews. This full-time role operates on a 2 and 2 roster with flights from your Point of Hire and site-provided meals.

You will supervise Raise Bore activities, coordinate daily plans and resources, monitor productivity, and ensure compliance with safety systems and site procedures. Applicants should have recent Raise Bore supervision experience and hold a current Australian

Qualifications

• Recent experience Raise Bore Supervisor Supervision (Essential).
• Experience working with Raise Bore equipment (Beneficial).
• Experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential).
• Strong focus on safety.
• Positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Hold a current Australian Manual Driver's Licence.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supervising Raise Bore crews to safely execute drilling and raise boring activities.
• Coordinating daily work plans, resources, personnel, and equipment requirements.
• Monitoring production targets and identifying opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Ensuring all work is completed in compliance with site safety systems, legislation, and company procedures.
• Conducting pre-start meetings, workplace inspections, safety interactions, and risk assessments.
• Managing workforce performance, mentoring team members, and fostering a positive team culture.
• Liaising with client representatives and site stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met.

PYBAR - a Thiess Company - is a leading provider of mining services, specialising in metalliferous underground hard rock mining. Since 1993, our success has been built on safe, efficient underground infrastructure development and consistent, reliable production.

We deliver projects across Australia, from large, established mining operations to greenfield developments. Our capabilities span mine development, production, cable bolting and drilling, raise boring, shotcreting, and fleet services.

THE OPPORTUNITY

PYBAR are seeking experienced Raise Bore Supervisors to help lead our Teams in our Raise Bore Division. To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate current or recent Supervisor Experience in the Raise.

This is a full time position on a 2 and 2 roster, offering points of hire from major airports in South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia. PYBAR will provide flights from your Point of Hire and accommodation, and meals are provided at site.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Demonstrated recent experience Raise Bore Supervisor Supervision (Essential)
• Experience working with Raise Bore equipment (Beneficial)
• Have proven experience working on underground heavy equipment (Essential)
• A strong focus on safety
• A positive can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team
• Hold a current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
• Hold or be willing to obtain a National Police Clearance.
