Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Railway Electrician to join our Brisbane team, working on the ETCS L2 project. The role blends hands-on electrical work with site coordination in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate holds a trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical, with 2+ years in railway signalling, and strong HSE focus. Hybrid work arrangement offers flexibility across site and office settings.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
• 2+ years in Railway signalling.
• Demonstrated Health & Safety initiatives.
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
• Experience in brownfield railway signalling environments.
• Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for undertaking the physical construction activities.
• Interpreting signalling documentation and drawings to execute construction tasks.
• Support Electrical team and subcontractors to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.
• Undertake all electrical works in accordance with the project delivery plan.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements.
