Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a self-motivated Railway Electrician to join the ETCS L2 project in Brisbane, Australia. The role involves a broad range of tasks from administrative duties to hands-on electrical work, collaborating with the Signalling Electrical Supervisor to deliver high-quality work.

The successful candidate will hold a trade qualification in signalling or electrical, have 2+ years of railway signalling experience, and strong planning skills, with experience in brownfield environments

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
• 2+ years in railway signalling.
• Demonstrated competency in Health & Safety initiatives.
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
• Experience working within brownfield railway signalling environments.
• Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Undertake physical construction activities as part of the ETCS L2 project.
• Interpret signalling documentation and drawings to execute construction tasks.
• Support Electrical team and subcontractors to deliver project plan.
• Undertake all electrical works in line with delivery plan.
• Comply with Health, Safety & Environment requirements and initiatives.
