Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Railway Electrician who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Brisbane, Australia .

As an electrician you will be working to execute the ETCS L2 project. You will work closely with the Signalling Electrical Supervisor to ensure all electrical work is undertaken to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for undertaking the physical construction activities.
• Responsible for executing construction activities by interpreting signalling documentation and drawings and functional construction documentation.
• Support the Electrical team and subcontractors to deliver the ETCS L2 project plan.
• Undertake all electrical works, in accordance with the project delivery plan.
• Comply with all Heath Safety & Environment (HSE) requirements and initiatives.

Required skills and experience

• Trade qualification in signalling and/or electrical.
• 2+ years in Railway signalling.
• Demonstrated competency in implementing Health & Safety initiatives.
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills.
• Demonstrated experience working within a brownfield railway signalling environment.
• Knowledge of software tools and technical systems.
