Job summary

Ferrovial Construction, Birmingham-based, seeks a Construction Manager (Railheads & Track Installation) to oversee railhead infrastructure, track installation, and logistics across Lot 3. You will coordinate multiple teams, subcontractors and interfaces, ensuring safe, efficient delivery in line with programme objectives.

The role requires proven rail project delivery experience, strong leadership, and a track record in planning, cost control and safety compliance on major civil works.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering major rail infrastructure projects.
• Experience leading multiple construction teams.
• Strong programme and productivity management.
• Good commercial awareness and NEC contracts knowledge.
• Experience on railhead, logistics, slab and track installations.
• Familiar with digital construction management tools and BIM.

Responsibilities

• Lead Agent-level teams across multiple work fronts.
• Drive short and medium-term delivery planning.
• Monitor productivity and implement improvements.
• Manage look-ahead and resource planning.
• Develop recovery plans for delayed activities.
• Review productivity and resource forecasts.
• Support project financial objectives.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and commercial impacts.
• Identify changes and early warnings, maintaining appropriate records.
• Coordinate interfaces between railheads, logistics, track installation, designers and adjacent contractors.
• Lead delivery coordination meetings and elevate significant issues.
• Coordinate materials and logistics for railhead works.
• Lead recruitment and development of construction teams.
• Ensure HS2/FBJV safety standards.
• Coordinate testing and handover of track systems.
