ARTC is seeking hands-on Infrastructure Maintainers/Rail Welder or Track Certifier to join our team outdoors. You will contribute to the maintenance of Australia’s rail network and support capital upgrade works.

Responsibilities include track maintenance, safety protection duties, inspections, operating heavy machinery and welding, all while meeting safety and quality standards. The role offers a 9-day fortnight, overtime/on-call opportunities, ongoing training, and access to wellbeing programs.

Qualifikationen

• General Construction Induction Card (White Card) required.
• Current Driver’s Licence required.
• Ability to work flexible hours and travel as required.
• Safeworking qualifications relevant to the role.
• Civil, rail or plant experience desirable.
• Rail Industry Worker (RIW) competencies desirable.
• Aluminothermic welding qualifications desirable.
• Track Certifications desirable.

Infrastructure Maintainers areresponsible for the hands-on maintenance and upkeep of ARTC’s rail network.This includes carrying out both preventative and reactive maintenanceactivities, as well as supporting minor construction works associated withplanned capital upgrades.

In this role, you will perform arange of tasks including general labouring, track maintenance, safetyprotection duties, detailed visual inspections of rail infrastructure,operating heavy machinery, welding, and other specialised maintenanceactivities — all while adhering to ARTC’s strict safety and quality standards.

This role requires flexibility,including overtime.

About the Team

Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.

The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
