Job summary

Shane's Trees, an Arboriculture company in Sydney, is seeking a dedicated crew member to join our tree and vegetation crews across rail corridors. You will help with vegetation removal, drain maintenance, and operate machinery including chainsaws and mowers.

We offer above award wages, full-time with holiday pay, and opportunities for training and career growth within a safety-focused team. Applicants must be prepared for on-site testing and travel within the rail network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in grounds maintenance, gardening or labouring.
• Ability to travel across the rail corridors.
• Drivers licence (with a clean driving record).
• RIW ticket (essential or willing to obtain).
• Commitment to a drug & alcohol-free workplace (you can be tested on-site at any time).
• White Card.

Responsibilities

• Work with crew to carry out vegetation removal and drain maintenance.
• Use machinery, chainsaws, mowers, snippers etc to support works.
• Feed chipper if required.
• Ensure all works are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards.

With several active rail contracts across our network, we have vegetation crews operating in the southern, south west and western rail corridors and we are looking for an additional crew member to join our team.

Corridors we are currently servicing include:

• Casula to Campbelltown
• Wollongong area
• Penrith to Lithgow (living away from home)
