Job summary

Metro Trains Sydney Pty is seeking an experienced Operations & Rail Safety Trainer to join our Learning & Development team. You will deliver rail operations and Rail Safety Rules training and conduct competency assessments to ensure our people have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles safely.

Working with operational leaders, you will support readiness during service changes and contribute to a strong safety-first culture across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail operations training and competency assessment.
• Ability to translate complex safety rules into practical training.
• Strong facilitation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rail operations training programs and refresher training.
• Conduct competency assessments including initial, refresher and remedial assessments.
• Maintain training records in LMS and ensure compliance with Rail Safety National Law.
• Collaborate with operational managers to support readiness and service changes.
