Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) invites applications for a Junee-based Network Controller trainee. You’ll contribute to safely coordinating train movements and access while supporting maintenance and construction across the network.

As a trainee, you’ll undertake structured learning, including a Certificate IV in Rail Network Control, with on-the-job experience, mentoring, and a comprehensive training program designed to develop your operational skills and safety acumen.

Qualifications

• No rail experience required; transferable skills welcome.
• Must include an up-to-date resume and a covering letter.

Responsibilities

• Safely control movement of trains and track vehicles across designated sections of the ARTC rail network.
• Coordinate rail traffic movements and maintenance access to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Monitor running trains and proactively manage potential conflicts or disruptions.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies following established procedures.
• Communicate clear, accurate instructions to train crews and work groups.
