Job summary

SMEC is seeking a recent Graduate Structural Engineer to join the Rail & Metro team in North Sydney. You'll be part of a high-impact talent group, contributing to the delivery of major rail and metro infrastructure projects alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD or Civil 3D (12D or similar is beneficial).

Responsibilities

Support delivery of real infrastructure projects from day one, assisting design, analysis and documentation.
Contribute to design development, including drawings, models and technical documentation.
Assist with engineering calculations and analysis under guidance.
Participate in site visits to understand how designs are implemented.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate design inputs and project milestones.
Learn and apply industry standards and best practices through structured development.
